OK - I cannot run hyper-v and the android emulator at the same time but no big deal. ago What are the features use hyper v 1 Maymne 1 yr. So I created a boot entry like above even though I am not using VMWARE or VIRTUALBOX, booted accordingly, and then tried running an android emulator (Bluestacks) and it worked! Instead of trying registry hacks, just disable all of the features that utilize the Hyper-V backend using the standard options in appwiz.cpl and then you can use Bluestacks and other virtualization solutions normally. Then you can boot accordingly and run VMWARE or VIRTUALBOX. The workaround is to create a second boot entry for Windows 10 (same installation) where Hyper-V is turned off i.e.Ĭ:\>bcdedit /copy hypervisorlaunchtype off It is well known that you cannot run VMWARE or VIRTUALBOX when Hyper-V is installed and active. You can also run DISM and SFC to repair faulty system files. Then, update your OS and driver to the latest version. Additionally, launch the Services app and force-stop all the Hyper V services running in the background. I was puzzled because I found if I did a clean install it worked ok.įinally, it dawned on me that it might be related to Hyper-V being active. If BlueStacks won’t install because Hyper V is enabled, disable the service. Been having issues trying to run an Android emulator (Bluestacks, Nox, Memu amongst others) with them all giving a BSOD.
